Massimiliano Ferrrara

Prof. Dr. Massimiliano Ferrara is a Full Professor of Mathematical Economics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Applied Game Theory at Mediterranea University of Reggio Calabria. He previously served as Chairman of the Department of Law, Economics & Human Sciences and as a member of the Academic Senate. He is a Research Affiliate with the ICRIOS–Invernizzi Center for Research on Innovation, Organization, Strategy and Entrepreneurship at Bocconi University Milan (since 2013), Visiting Professor with Istanbul Okan University at the Advanced Soft Computing Lab, and Scientific Director of the DECISIONS Lab. Over his career, he has held visiting positions at Harvard University, Western Michigan University, Morgan State University, Northeastern University of Boston, and Dresden University of Technology. Prof. Ferrara has authored over 220 peer-reviewed articles published by leading publishers including Nature, IEEE, Elsevier, Springer, and Wiley. He serves as Editor, Co-Editor, or Associate Editor for multiple journals, including Nature Scientific Reports (Editorial Board), Soft Computing, and Dynamic Games and Applications. He currently referees for over 300 international journals indexed in SCOPUS, WoS, and MathSciNet. His achievements include Knight Order of Merit of the Italian Republic (2010), the Hepites Award from the Romanian Academy of Science (2010), and the Silver Medal from Universiti Putra Malaysia for the Invention, Research and Innovation Exhibition (2016). He was also recognized among the top 2% of scientists by Stanford University and Elsevier (2022 onwards).
